Marketing Managers are responsible for developing, implementing and executing strategic marketing plans for an entire organization in order to attract potential customers and retain existing ones.

They must be great business leaders as well as great marketing leaders — working with executives to determine budgets and targets, and developing pricing strategies for products and services.

While the marketing department looks to Marketing Managers for guidance, executives count on them for profitability and results, aligning creative direction with the company's strategic goals.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all marketing campaigns for the company or department
• Implement strategy and promote the business, product or service
• Ensure messaging attracts prospective customers and retains existing ones
• Represent marketing to cross-functional groups including product, sales and support

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field
• Proficiency with online marketing and social media strategy
• Proven success designing interactive applications and networking platforms
• Willingness to travel and established contacts in media
